In the design we created, the woman represents the narcissistic person at the center of the dynamic—not a specific real person.
She is seated on the throne to symbolize someone positioned at the center of attention and control. The flying monkeys around her represent people who act on that person's behalf—for example, spreading stories, attacking or blaming the targeted person, reporting information back, creating conflict, or helping with manipulation.
The three monkeys at the bottom—“Don’t Hear the Truth,” “Don’t See the Truth,” and “Don’t Speak the Truth”—represent people who may ignore, refuse to examine, or stay silent about what is actually happening.
So visually, the message is: the person on the throne is at the center, while the flying monkeys carry out or reinforce the surrounding conflict.
One distinction worth keeping: “flying monkey” is popular terminology used when discussing abusive or manipulative relationship dynamics; it isn't a clinical diagnosis.
